You are going to have to get the piece to your home by road and you can collect the item yourself or use a transport company. If you use a transport firm it is essential to make sure that the item is properly insured in transit against loss or damage.

When you have paid the asking price for a piece it is essential that you retain the payment receipt along with any other paperwork. If you plan to sell the piece at a later date you will need this paperwork as most collectors will want some provenance. If you have lost the paperwork you can always contact a dealer and for a fee they will appraise and value your piece.
