Excellent Fantasy Books To Read In 2016

Fantasy writers have a way of capturing your imagination and ensuring that you hold on to every one of their words. Fantasy books are known to contain this magical glue that is not only believable but memorable. Their classical titles are impossible to drop. You will reread the title once more and still find it fascinating. There are enough titles to keep readers occupied for the entire year.

Scott Hawkins announces his entry into the genre with an interesting plot in The Library of Mount Char. It captures the story of children who end up with a cruel and extremely powerful father after abduction. They spend their childhood learning his craft and are now ready to conquer the world. They have to deal with sibling rivalry and at the same time fight with a clueless world. This is an interesting read by all means.

George Martin is already known but his release of A Knight of Seven Kingdoms confirms his prowess in this genre. He gives a story of Dunk, a knight who has Egg as his young squire. This title is part of a series illustrated by Gianni Gary. This title preserves the reputation Martin and promises an exciting series in the coming years.

Fantasy lovers are familiar with the works of Naomi Novik. The latest release is a novel entitled Uprooted. It is dripping with intrigue and a plot that is held together by the magic of a young girl that is learnt from a cold and distant teacher. Unlike other stories that are set in strange worlds, this one features intense court battles and regular trips to a haunted forest. This is one of the most intriguing plots you will ever encounter.

Jemisin N. K. Is the author behind The Fifth Season series. The new series tagged Every Age Must Come to an End takes you through a broken world that has caused a woman to lose her child in a war she knows nothing about. The lady has a personal battle to fight and recover her son. Jemisin N. K. Has given readers Inheritance series before and this will be a continuation of excellent work.

Jim Butcher is known for his long running series entitled Dresden Files. He has set that series aside and began a journey with a new title The Cinder Spires. Under the series, the new book is The Astronauts Windlass. This first release is meant for aerospace lovers because it is full of space ships and action. The story is fast paced, moving and adventurous.

Romance is never far away whenever fantasy is mentioned. The Court of Thorns and Roses is the work of Sarah Maas who targets young readers with sufficient dose of romance. After a huntress fells the wrong wolf, she is captured by a faerie lord. In the ensuring events, she falls in love with the lord.

The world has not seen the last of these intriguing novels. Others writers worth mentioning are Stace Nicole with her Archivist Wasp, Bardugo who wrote Six Crows and Victoria Aveyard with Red Queen. The year also promises more titles and interesting plots. Whether it is single titles or series, there is enough for readers who get lost in fantasies.
