How To Turn Into A Saxophone Player Fabian

By Marci Nielsen

Staying in this profession takes more than a great pair of hands. You still have to consider the steps below for you to make people happy that they came all the way to see you. Be able to capture their hearts and show to them that the best things in life are not in the shows which they watch.

You would have to relax. Remember that your greatest asset as a saxophone player Fabian is your breath. Thus, try to be calm before your performance. Think about other things aside from the people who are waiting for you outside. Condition your mind to be calm for the body to follow right away.

Close your eyes and get lost in the music. Perfection will never be achieved if you shall be too conscious with your hands. They know what to do for as long as you already know the pieces like the back of your hand. The audience will also appreciate it more if they can see your whole profile without any music stand getting in the way.

Enhance your knowledge on classical music. Remember that most of your audience would be old people. If you would play to the beat of new songs, these individuals would have the impression that you are disgracing the art that they came for. Because of that, they would not come to your next shows.

Expand your versatility by going into the lane of other instruments. Yes, the tracks will sound weird coming from a saxophone but it is your job to modify the notes a little bit for you to get the exact flavor and emotion. Do not be afraid to explore when there are no rules preventing you from doing so and when it can be fun.

Have the highest level of articulation. Most of your audience can be technical with what you will be playing. So, admit to them the parts when you have made a mistake and you can even gain their respect because of that. Be humble and people will have no reason not to continuously love your music through the years.

Practice with recordings. This can prevent you from getting lost when it is time for the whole orchestra to but in. Having great listening skills is important especially when you have to tune the instrument yourself. You should be independent to prevent any sabotage on your end.

Combine pieces together if you can. However, this would still depend on the audience that you are playing for. If all of them are conservative, stick with the arrangement which have been given to you by your maestro. You would only be allowed to play around if this is already your solo concert.

Have passion for your music. People will only love you if you do not mind looking ugly for as long as you are able to display the true meaning of the piece. Be on stage not just because of the money and most especially not for instant fame.
