Energy is the most important resource on the planet earth. In the absence of this particular resource so many things would not work out for people. All the technological growth and developments in society are attributed to the fact that there are several sources of power that can be exploited for the benefit of the people living on earth. The importance of portable led lamps is very paramount to society.
These are all very vital things in the life of any person. Food is very important and no one can live for long without eating food. Water is also readily available in the numerous water bodies especially in the areas that are boarded by massive water bodies such as seas and oceans. However, none of these commodities comes close to power in importance and value.
This power however, cannot be tapped for other uses other than lighting or heating. It is available during the day hours and ceases to exist during the night till the next day. This created quite a dilemma as people required a way of manipulating the power derived from the sun for running other machines, cooking and lighting during the night hours. This led to the development of solar panels for storage purposes.
In the beginning, the sun was the only known source of power. People had to time it and do all their activities while it was still visible. During the night hours, darkness took over and people had no option but to sleep. The preservation of perishable food substances was only possible through sun-drying in the community. The only other possible source of fire and hence light was the burning of wood.
Systems were designed to enable people the ability to store solar energy for use at other times of need. This did not prove as useful either as the energy stored was very little. It could hardly accomplish any work like wise. This challenged people to get better methods or sources of power for community use. It was however very clean and nature friendly as well.
It is also used in the industries to run the large machinery used in the production and manufacturing process. This makes it one of the most important resources in society today. It also enabled the storage and preservation of perishable products using refrigerators and cooling chambers for more large scale and commercial purposes. Some cars have also been designed o run on this form of energy.
Petroleum however is the largest energy provider on the planet today. This very dear material is usually extracted from the ground. In some places however, traces of oil have been discovered on massive water bodies. During extraction, it is usually crude in nature. This is then refined to get the petroleum, diesel, oil plastic and many other by-products.
During the process of refining crude oil, a number of other products are created. These include things such as kerosene, diesel, oil and plastics as well. Each one of these materials has a unique use in the society. The kerosene for example is used in led lamps to provide light in places where electricity is not accessible yet.
